Cmd Recall is a commitment tracker that runs on your own devices. Extracting a commitment from pasted text, or transcribing a recorded meeting, happens using Apple's on-device AI — that content is never sent to a Cmd Recall server or any third-party AI service to do it.
Your commitments, their status (open, snoozed, completed), and any due dates you set are stored locally on your device. A future version may add optional device-to-device sync for your own data — this policy will be updated before that ships.
When you use Record Meeting, audio is captured from your microphone and transcribed entirely on-device using Apple's Speech framework. The audio and transcript are processed locally to find commitments; neither is uploaded anywhere by Cmd Recall.
Text you paste in to extract a commitment is processed on-device using Apple's Foundation Models framework. It is not transmitted to Cmd Recall's servers or to any third-party AI provider.
If you join the waitlist on this site, we store the email address you provide so we can notify you at launch. It's used for that alone — never sold, shared, or used for anything else.
